Therin, sometimes Therin Whitestone, was an incredibly powerful war hero and sword wielder.

Physical Description
Aayara's puppet show depicted Therin as a woman clad in rune-etched white armor carrying a sword wrought from white stone.

In her reconstructed appearance as a Memory Echo, Therin had rough-cut black hair and a jagged scar that traced from below her right eye to her chin. She wore six swords, including the True Blade.

Magic
Therin had knowledge of Essence Sorcery and completed Dianis Points for metal essence, sword essence, air essence, aura essence, and area essence. She was able to unleash destructive waves of essence by only moving her face.

Notes
In our terminology, Therin would be a transgender woman. Therin never transitioned during her life due to societal prejudices and her own fear. Because of this, visions of her depict her as a male, although the Smiling Sword Saint that Lien trains under manifests as her true self, a woman. This is also why the echo Lien fights against, Thane, looks like a boy.
